Welcome to Benji and Amy Kimbrough. Benji is our new youth director. Amy is the financial secretary. They have 2 teenage boys that are a part of the youth group and also a baby girl. They will work alongside each other to serve our youth at Valley Grove. You can see a video on our Facebook page with more information. Here is a link to the video on Facebook.

We would like to welcome you to Valley Grove Baptist Church. Our youth ministry is based around equipping our students with what is needed to face those day-to-day challenges that make the Christian life so hard sometimes. This is done through the teaching of God’s Word, fellowship with each other and encouraging each other throughout the week, and most importantly, loving each other.

Not only do we want to strengthen our students, but we also want to strengthen our families. If your entire family comes to church, we want to help you grow as a family. If you are alone, we want to be your family and reach out to those family members that may not come.

I hope you will consider visiting us and find a reflection of Jesus Christ in all of us. If you have any questions feel free to contact the church. You can also look at our Facebook Page to see what our Youth is up to,

God bless and may He lead you in all things.

         May’s Newsletter
As May approaches, we look to & think about how we celebrate Mother’s Day. I know everywhere, all of us have different situations. Some have our Mother, unfortunately some of us no longer do. In some places, there are those who have had someone step in & be their mother, maybe a grandmother for example. Whatever the case there is someone most likely that has filled that role in your life. I am not ashamed to say that I have always been a “Momma’s Boy.” When I was younger it seemed to be an insult for someone to say that. As I have gotten older, I have realized the value in it. Mom’s are special. My mother is the most selfless person I know. She has demonstrated & taught me many things like how to love others, even the unlovable. She taught me how to encourage, build up, to support, to care & to be present. Many decisions I make today, I do not even have to ask her directly, words from previous conversations & situations are ever present, even in the thought process. My mother has made a lasting impact on me & it has shaped the way that I live, & make life decisions. She has shown me a great example of what it means to love & serve others, just the same way that Jesus did. I am forever grateful to her for the impact she  has had on me.

Appreciate your mom or those who have stepped in to fill the gap. Thank God for them! Do your very best to make them proud, hold tight to the teachings & the example they have set. If you are a mom, do not take the task lightly. God has chosen you to handle a large task of teaching your children.

“My Son, keep your Father’s command & do not forsake your mother’s teaching. Bind them always on your heart: fasten them around your neck. When you walk, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you.”

Proverbs 6:20-22

In His Love,

Bro. Benji

Our Youth went to the Xtreme Conference in Gatlinburg, TN December 27th! They had such a great time getting to explore what the town had to offer, getting to hear some amazing speakers, and getting to experience some great worship music. Not only did the Youth learn but so did our chaperones, and really enjoyed themselves while guiding our Youth on this trip.
