We would like to welcome you to Valley Grove Baptist Church. Our youth ministry is based around equipping our students with what is needed to face those day-to-day challenges that make the Christian life so hard sometimes. This is done through the teaching of God’s Word, fellowship with each other and encouraging each other throughout the week, and most importantly, loving each other.
I hope you will consider visiting us and find a reflection of Jesus Christ in all of us. If you have any questions feel free to contact the church. You can also look at our Facebook Page to see what our Youth is up to,
God bless and may He lead you in all things.
As we approach February, we enter into the Valentine’s Season, a season of celebrating relationship. Some will be celebrating dating for just a few weeks or months while others will be celebrating a relationship and have been married many years. There will be many celebrating milestones all in between. The key to those relationships young and old being successful hinges on a lot of things. One of the most necessary pieces to the puzzle is that each person involved in the relationship is putting forth the efforts to make it successful. Each person has to communicate, and make the efforts to spend time with the other for the relationship to grow.
See when we love each other it makes it easy to want to talk with each other, and spend time together. So, my question today is how much do you love Jesus? Do you love Him enough to talk with Him? What does your prayer life look like? Are you investing in prayer? See he is talking and communicating with us all the time. But are we listening? Are you checking His text messages? (Scripture) are you intentionally taking time to spend with your Savior?
Think about it in relationship terms. If we only spent 2 days a week (Sunday and Wednesday) with our Spouse and we didn’t communicate the other 5 days of the week, our relationship may grow but it is going to be a very long process. It is not going to reach the full potential that it could. But if we invest in the relationship daily great things can happen. See, the problem with the earthly relationships is we are dependent upon the other party being fully invested. It is unfortunate that often times this in not the case and things don’t reach the quality and potential they could. Rest assured Jesus is PERFECT, and he is fully invested in you and in doing his part, but are we?
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in Him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
In His Love
